Sunday, May 17 online via Zoom. 3:30 pm - 5;00 pm ET. $29. Recording will be available for three weeks.
This is an online class--for all instruments, and singers too!
We'll explore the relationship between playing slow airs and the Irish singing tradition. We'll talk about ornaments, expression, breathing (yes, it's important even if you're a fiddler or concertina player!)
Most of the class will be spent listening to and discussing great recordings of airs and their source songs, and then we'll learn a melody together.
The workshop will be recorded in case you can't be there "live."
