​​Spice up your tune-playing by adding extra notes, alternate notes, rhythmic variations, and other techniques. While we will do some improvising live and off-the-cuff in class, much of our time will be devoted to learning simple, well-thought-out approaches that, if you can make them second-nature, will allow you to embellish your playing even at session speeds.

All melodic instruments welcome. Please note that we will be focused on dance tunes (jigs, reels, etc.), not on songs.

The class meetings will be recorded, and students will have access to the recordings for at least three weeks after the class.
